Where's Bayo?

Woke this morning and came across this video of CHRISTIAN SCOTT QUINTET donned in full Mardis Gras Indian chief attire from last Spring at Harlem Stage. He invited the entire audience onto the stage to sing, dance, clap, and sure enough, my big head made it into the video!

one day I wish to rock out with the artist in this clip like Braxton Cook, but this suffices for now!

YC Arts Fest and WSF 2018

For those of you who don't know, I have another passion apart from my music. I really love my job as a house manager, and it has guided my hand to apply to Baruch College's MA program in Arts Administration (Admission decision pending!).  I wish to spend my life supporting the arts whether I'm on stage or behind the scenes.

In the past two months, of May and June 2018 I've had the pleasure of house managing the YC Arts Fest festival and the World of Science Festival. the Arts festival which is more my speed was the Milton G. Bassin Performing Arts Center's first attempt at programming 3 back to back days of fine art, dance, music, theatrical performance, and workshops, and has so much potential in the future.

The World Science Fest is in its 11th  year and is a huge thing that happens every year in NYC. Over two days I was called to manage about 15 volunteers I had never met at the Ace Hotel and the American Museum of Natural History. I really excited to see the growth this new experince has brought me in my music and and Arts managment pursuits.

Those club dates that are just special.

On Monday March 20th, 2017 8 p.m. I'll be performing at Pianos in the Lower East Side. This gig is special because it is the last club date I'll be booking for the group, for some time. The next time the Bayo Fayemi Group hits at a dedicated music venue, hopefully I'll have a record in hand. I'll also be pretty busy with Kaleta & Zozo Afrobeat, so i'm excited to see how long and how far this next part of my journey is!

Vibe Tank Take off

The Vibe Tank finally saw the light of day last Monday and Tuesday. This project has been on my mind for awhile so it felt really good to release it to the World. I think it'll be awhile before its on stage again, best believe it is coming. Videos and Pictures from an awesome two at The Shrine and Amityville Music Hall coming soon.
